Treasures of Sichuan
2-11 DECEMBER 2025

You won't find such a journey anywhere else. Buddha caves of Dazu, sacred Mount Emei, the mysterious Sanxingdui civilization, the giant panda center in Chengdu, Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve—and much more.
A unique expedition to the heart of China.
Let me show you a wonderful and astonishing world—one you never even imagined existed.
Let me show you a wonderful and astonishing world—one you never even imagined existed.
  • To see pandas, you need to go early in the morning.
They are fed at 10 AM, and you can watch these cuddly bears chomping on bamboo and carrots. After breakfast, the pandas usually sleep for a couple of hours—or sometimes all day—so chances to see them active are rare.
  • Legend has it:
If you walk around the Buddha statue atop sacred Mount Emei three times and name each elephant it sits on, what you've been missing most in life will come to you.
  • In winter, Jiuzhaigou becomes still.
No hustle, no crowds—only silence, crisp air, and frozen waterfalls you won’t find anywhere else on Earth.
  • In the Dazu caves,
you’ll encounter the Buddha gliding into Nirvana. It’s unforgettable. And when life gets hard, just remembering him brings inner calm.
Why travel with me?

At 34, I took a leap into the unknown—I abandoned everything and went to China to study Qigong and Taijiquan in a Taoist school.

Planning to stay a year, I ended up living there for nine, mastering the language, culture, philosophy, and, of course, Chinese cuisine. Having created over 20 unique routes across China, I am a caring and experienced guide who will show you the country as no one else can.

I’ve traversed China from west to east and north to south. I organize both group and individual trips, tailoring everything to your interests—revealing the country’s incredible nature, ancient temples, museums, and more.

Itinerary Overview
02.12 – 11.12.2024
  • Day 1 : Arrival in Chengdu
Fly into Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Check into your hotel. Relax after the journey, acclimatize, and get ready for adventure. If you're up to it, we'll take a short walk around the city center.

  • Day 2:
    Chengdu
Chengdu isn’t like other megacities—no one is in a hurry. People relax in parks, chat, and sip tea at their leisure. We’ll stroll through the city, visit ancient temples, meander along cozy streets, sit beneath shady trees—and, most importantly, absorb the deep, slow rhythm of Chengdu.
  • Day 3: Emei Mountains
In the morning, we’ll take a train to the sacred Buddhist peaks of Mount Emei. We'll interact gently with the local monkeys, ride the cable car to the summit to visit the holy Buddha statues, explore temples, breathe in the scent of incense, and seek blessings from local spirits. In the evening, return to Chengdu—tired, blessed, and joyful.
  • Day 4: PANDAS!
We'll spend the morning at the panda research center—an expansive green sanctuary just outside Chengdu. This tour takes 3–4 hours: you’ll encounter giant pandas, cubs, juveniles, and even red pandas. Afterwards, we'll return to the city and continue exploring its charm at an easy pace.
  • Day 5:Sanxingdui Museum
In the morning, we’ll take a train to one of the most mysterious archaeological discoveries of the 20th century—the Sanxingdui Museum. This lost civilization, which thrived over 3,000 years ago alongside the Sumerians and Egyptians, left behind no written records.
The site is unlike anything else in China. In the evening, we return to Chengdu and board a train to Chongqing.
  • Day 6: Dazu Grottoes
Thousands of Buddhas carved into the cliffs of Dazu seem to dissolve into the stone—and into time—reminding us of silence, compassion, and eternity.
We’ll spend the entire day exploring both the Northern and Baoshang grottoes, home to some of the finest and most expressive Buddhist stone carvings in China.
  • Day 7: Wulong. Three heavenly Bridges and Dragon Canyon
One of the most stunning landscapes in China. We’ll walk beneath three massive natural stone arches towering above the earth, descend into Dragon Gorge to find waterfalls, caves, and sheer cliffs that look like they came straight out of a mythical legend.
  • Day 8: Huang Long National Park
Today we head for the mountains. We’ll explore the rare natural beauty of Huanglong, a UNESCO-listed reserve at 3,200–3,600 meters above sea level.
Here, colorful karst pools shimmer in shades of turquoise, amber, and jade—a visual warm-up for the breathtaking views to come tomorrow.
  • Day 9: Jiu Zhai Gou National Park
One of China’s most spectacular nature reserves—the “Valley of Nine Villages”—hidden among snow-capped peaks. Jade-colored lakes, frost-covered waterfalls, and fairytale forests straight from classical Chinese paintings await us.
Winter here is especially serene: few people, vast silence, and the magical feeling that all of this beauty exists just for you.
  • Day 10: HOME
In the morning, we take a train back to Chengdu, where we head to the airport. Time to fly home—carrying suitcases full of souvenirs and hearts full of unforgettable memories.

⚠️ Important Information – Please Read Carefully
.
  • Be prepared to walk a lot
This trip doesn’t require special physical training—there won’t be any extreme hikes or long stair climbs (on Mount Emei, we’ll take the cable car up but still have to walk up). However, we will walk a lot—up to 10 km per day. Occasionally, stairs will be involved.
  • Altitude matters
  • This is a group trip
Our group usually consists of 5–8 people (maximum 10). While I always do my best to accommodate individual needs, we follow a shared itinerary. Please be on time and stay connected with the group.
  • This is a bilingual trip.
Most of my guests are Russian speakers, so I guide the journey in both Russian and English.
If, for any reason, this bilingual format makes you uncomfortable, this trip might not be the right fit for you.
